As reported by The Liverpool Echo, Rangers are interested in bringing Everton prospect Alex Denny to Ibrox this summer.
What’s the story?
Having spent the last couple of years as Liverpool’s U18s manager, new Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has a great insight into the best and brightest talents coming through the academy system in England.
Now he is set to utilise that knowledge with a move for Everton prospect Alex Denny.
That’s according to The Liverpool Echo, who report that contract talks between the 18-year-old and the Toffees have stalled, with the Light Blues set to capitalise and offer him a route north.
The paper reckon that the club have registered an interest in signing him this summer.

Who is he?
An England youth international to U18s level, Denny is progressing well at Goodison Park having graduated to the sides U23s side from his own age group in 2017/18.
His impressive performances for their youth sides was rewarded with a brief UEFA Europa League appearance for the club away to Apollon Limassol last December.
With the prospect of first team football far more likely at Ibrox than Everton, it’s a move that could be to the youngster’s benefit, especially since his position is the same as the one Gerrard made his name in.
If the former Liverpool captain can continue to identify young English talent to bring to the Scottish Premiership, it’s a policy that could prove valuable in years to come.
