Fabinho’s move to Liverpool was initially billed as one of the swoops of the summer, largely because of the speed of its execution, but the Brazilian has found life difficult at Anfield so far.
It took until Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea for the defensive midfielder to make his full debut in English football, and although it eventually ended in defeat Fabinho did show some quality – particularly in terms of his forward passing.
